Muriel Saulais is a French engineer with over 10 years of experience in the field of water. She obtained a doctorate then held several positions within Cerema (Center for Studies and Expertise on Risks, Environment, Mobility, and Urban and Country Planning). Muriel led work involving the consideration of wetlands in urban planning and alternative rainwater management. In particular, she co-piloted the guide on the development of stormwater zoning and piloted a research axis on the assessment of ecosystem services provided by stormwater management facilities. She also works with local authorities on runoff risk management.
