Americana — one of the largest environmental events in North America — is a prime meeting place for environmental professionals to discuss technical, scientific and business topics regarding key issues in the environmental sector. Americana is a biennial event organized since 1995 by Réseau Environnement, the largest network of environmental experts in the province of Quebec.

An eco-responsible event

In line with Réseau Environnement’s values of sustainable development, Americana – 2023 is multiplying its actions to be an eco-responsible event.

  • Use of reusable and/or compostable dishes;
  • Recovery of surplus food with the Maison du Père;
  • No printing (paperless);
  • Public transportation options for participants;
  • This year, we will be assisted by Carbone Scol’ERE to quantify and offset the GHG emissions emitted by the event.
  • Live calculation of waste management during the event, supported by our partner Stratzer

Un événement écoresponsable

À l’image des valeurs de développement durable de Réseau Environnement, le Salon des teq multiplie les actions pour être un événement écoresponsable.

  • Participation au programme de compensation de gaz
    à effet de serre ;
  • Utilisation de vaisselle réutilisable et/ou compostable ;
  • Récupération des surplus de nourriture avec la Tablée
    des chefs ;
  • Don de nourriture non consommée ;
  • Aucune impression (sans papier) ;
  • Options de transports en commun pour les participants ;
  • Quantification et compensation des émissions de GES.

Cette année, nous serons épaulés par Planetair pour quantifier et compenser les émissions de GES émises par l’événement.

Cette année nous avons choisi deux partenaires pour la récupération des surplus de nourriture :

Ce refuge multiservice situé à Québec offre la soupe populaire, l’hébergement temporaire ainsi que la réinsertion sociale aux hommes et aux femmes de 18 ans et plus.

 

  • La fondation Louise Brissette – Les enfants d’amour

Cette fondation fondée par Louise Brissette, mère aimante de plusieurs enfants handicapés, permet aux enfants souffrant de handicap de milieux défavorisés de recevoir des traitements gratuitement.

Jean-Nicolas Côté

Monsieur Côté détient un baccalauréat en pharmacie, une maîtrise en environnement et poursuit des études en géomatiques appliquées afin de mieux modéliser la vulnérabilité aux changements climatiques.
