Opening Plenary | The ministers McKenna and Charette to launch Americana 2019

Lunch-on Presentation | Mr. Trash Wheel: a promising innovation for cleaner oceans
Speaker: Adam Lindquist, Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore
Since 2014, Mr. Trash Wheel has collected over 1,000 tons of trash and debris and been called the most promising new technology for preventing ocean plastic. Learn how Waterfront Partnership harnessed this technology to both clean up the Baltimore Harbor and launch a viral social media campaign that has helped change behavior and even pass legislation.
The conference is available to holders of a one, two or three days package (valid on March 27th) or on the purchase of a single ticket for the lunch-on.

Workshop | Consolidating the Energy Transition in Canada

Practical Workshop | Assemble your solar panels

Solar energy is a technology that has been widely promoted in recent years. Despite its growing popularity, it often remains out of reach … During this workshop, participants will learn the basics of solar panels and they will build a 5V panel that will charge electronic devices through a USB socket. This hands-on workshop will also provide an opportunity to discuss different local and global issues related to solar energy and other renewable energies.
