Hélène Gervais holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications & Human Relations (international profile) from UQAM and a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from the Université de Sherbrooke. She has worked for the state-owned company RECYC-QUÉBEC since 2006 as an industrial development officer. Her expertise in residual materials management, combined with her knowledge of circular economy, has been put to good use on various projects, including the organization of the first Assises québécoises de l’économie circulaire, in source reduction, plastic recycling and curbside recycling. Since 2018, Hélène teaches circular economy at the Université de Sherbrooke. In 2016, she worked as a project manager at the Institut de l’environnement, du développement durable et de l’économie circulaire, where she coordinated a major research project on circular economy and metals for the Quebec Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
