Mathieu Laporte-Saumure

Mathieu Laporte-Saumure completed his undergraduate and graduate studies in Geology and his Ph.D. in Earth Sciences at INRS in Quebec City. He is specialized in the fields of characterization and remediation of metal-contaminated soils, and contaminant mobility. After working as a researcher at DRDC in Valcartier, he joined the MELCC in 2012, where he currently works on the application and development of Quebec’s legal and regulatory framework for the management of contaminated soils and land rehabilitation. He also works on developing guidance documents published by MELCC on the subject. In recent years, Mr. Laporte-Saumure has participated in numerous seminars, where he has presented MELCC documents and orientations in land rehabilitation. He has over 12 years of experience in the field of contaminated land.
