Indra Maharjan currently leads OCWA’s Innovation, Efficiency and Technology group and delivers innovative infrastructure solutions to 200+ municipal clients across Ontario. He brings first-hand knowledge of infrastructure needs, opportunities and challenges of the municipal W/WW sector to develop and implement solutions with innovation, efficiency and optimization in mind. He has developed and implemented the first pay for performance energy program in the W/WW sector with support from IESO, and has been a driving force behind six co-digestion and Net Zero resource recovery initiatives in Ontario. Indra works closely with provincial and federal stakeholders and has assisted municipalities in securing more than $20 million in funding for projects. He volunteers with various industry associations, namely CWWA, OWWA. WEAO, Ryerson Urban Water, OSPE and PEO.
