Mr. Daniel Lessard has held the position of Director of Quebec City’s Engineering Department since December 2006. In this capacity, Mr. Lessard directs activities related to the management of road network infrastructure and water supply of Quebec City sewers. From 1998 to 2006, Mr. Lessard managed the drinking water supply and wastewater treatment operations for Quebec City. An engineer by training, Mr. Daniel Lessard also holds a master’s degree in project management and a master’s degree in public administration. In recent years, Mr. Lessard was a member of the boards of directors of Réseau Environnement (2002 to 2006), the Canadian Drinking and Wastewater Association (2000 to 2010) and the Center of Expertise and Research in Urban Infrastructure (2007 to 2017). Finally, Mr. Lessard has acted in recent years as a Canadian expert on behalf of the Canadian Standards Council on several technical committees related to the development of new ISO standards in the fields of water, remediation and asset management.
