Marc-André Valiquette has been an Ecologist Team Leader at La Mauricie National Park since 2018. He was previously the national park’s coordinator for the ecological restoration project for aquatic ecosystems from 2016 to 2018. He has taught Natural Environment Techniques and Wildlife Management. Marc-André has also acted as an environmental consultant and project leader biologist.
With his experience, Marc-André leads and/or participates in research and monitoring projects on a wide variety of ecosystem components: fish, aquatic macrophytes, water quality, avian fauna, cervids, mesocarnivores, black bears, forest stands, amphibians, reptiles, beavers and wetlands. He is an outdoor enthusiast and has a keen interest in at-risk species and ecological restoration.
