Quebec Industrial Research Center (CRIQ) develops and tests treatment processes with Quebec companies and municipalities in various fields of the environment and composting. As project manager, Mr. Bernard has been working at the CRIQ laboratory in Quebec City for more than 27 years. In 1989, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering at Laval University. His main area of interest is the development of composting and biological drying processes for various organic residues. Over the course of his career, Yves has collaborated or co-ordinated several pilot demonstration projects in the field to help carry out these innovations. For more than 10 years, he worked on the development of various mechanobiological treatment processes for municipal waste. The development of an effective treatment process for the return of quality composts to agricultural land is his main concern.
