Pierre-Olivier Roy is a chemical engineering graduate from École Polytechnique de Montréal. He continued his academic career and completed both master’s (2009) and Ph.D. (2012) at the international reference center for the life cycle of products, processes, and services (CIRAIG). He then integrated the CIRAIG research associate team as an environmental consultant. He has since worked on several projects related to the energy sector including the Quebec Government Environmental Strategic Assessment on shale gas, the comparison between different natural gas and coal supply chain for electricity generation in Europe and Asia, the Quebec and Canada study comparing electric and conventional vehicles, and many other studies. In January 2018, he was named Lead Energy for the CIRAIG.
