Since the beginning of his career, Maxime Moisan has placed a great importance on innovation, creativity and sustainable development. Following his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval, Mr. Moisan pursued an applied master’s degree at the University of Guelph in Enviromental Engineering, conducting a thesis on ultrasonic pre-treatment for the wet anaerobic digestion process. Subsequently, he worked to optimize a municipal waste incineration process. Mr. Moisan is now responsible for the department of residual materials management at GBi, an engineering firm. He also shares his passion for the field of recyclable materials management as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Société VIA. A social economy non-profit organization, Société VIA works in the field of household recycling sorting and processes more than 130,000 tonnes of materials through 5 sorting centers each year.
