Dr. Matthias Kuehle-Weidemeier has over 25 years of professional experience in waste management. He is the former managing director of Wasteconsult International. After Wasteconsult’s merge with ICP engineering, he became the head of the waste management department in Germany.

Dr. Kuehle-Weidemeier’s expertise is in engineering and consultancy on waste treatment and recovery, especially mechanical and biological technologies (MBT), landfills, contaminated sites and photovoltaics. He has managed projects in Europe, Asia, America and Australia.

He is the founder and organizer of “Waste-to-Resources”, the world’s leading conference on MBT and material recovery facilities (MRF), typically attended by participants from 40 countries.

Dr. Kuehle-Weidemeier has also worked as a scientist at the Institute for Water Quality and Waste Management of the University of Hanover. He has also held the position of project engineer and project leader for landfills and contaminated sites at two major German engineering companies.
