Laurie Fontaine holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal where she is currently a PhD candidate under the direction of Professors Robert Legros and Jean-Marc Frayret. She is part of the Research Chair on Advanced Waste Recovery where she looks at the impact of municipal incentives on citizens’ waste generation behaviour. Based on municipal solid waste data, the proposed methodology will therefore help the decision makers by analyzing material flows on a seasonal and regional basis.
