Graduated from her master’s degree in environmental microbiology and her diploma in environmental management from Université de Sherbrooke, and also from the diploma in sustainable carbon management at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Kathleen Barrette is starting the commercialization of a green technology known as the SherPAQ. This technology from the Université de Sherbrooke’s laboratories is used to revegetate all disturbed sites or hostile to the presence of plant growth, contaminated or not. This presentation aims to raise awareness of the name and the science behind SherPAQ and how this technology will help counteract the effects of climate change by significantly increasing atmospheric CO2 sequestration.
