Kateryna Derkach is Strategy and Sustainability Director at the Green Aviation Research and Development Network in Canada (GARDN), a non-profit organization created in 2009 with funding from the Canadian government and the Canadian aerospace industry. GARDN’s mandate is to build research clusters that work together to reduce the environmental impacts of air travel.

Kateryna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, and she is currently completing her Master’s degree in Strategic Eco Design at Université de Montréal. She has experience working with sustainable business strategies in the aviation industry, particularly with the emerging sector of sustainable aviation fuels.
