Jérome Guay is a biologist specialized in road ecology. He has been working at the ministère des Transports du Québec (Québec’s transportation ministry) since 2009. More specifically, he works at the Direction générale de la Capitale-Nationale (DGCNAT), where he is responsible for the characterization of natural habitats before projects, the integration of impact mitigation measures to plans and specifications, the environmental monitoring of worksites, as well as the design and monitoring of compensatory measures. Jérome Guay also manages common reed control operations on the primary road network of the DGCNAT and contributes to the development of good environmental practices with respect to roadsides, namely to optimize the environmental value of stormwater retention structures.
