Jérôme Dupras

Arts, sciences and environment are interwoven in Jérôme Dupras’ life. A Doctor in Geography, he completed his postdoctoral studies in biology and is now a Professor of the Department of Natural Sciences at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, where he holds the Canada Research Chair in Ecological Economics. On the music scene of the French-speaking world, he is known as a member of the Cowboys Fringants. Involved in many environmental causes, he is, among other things, President of the Cowboys Fringants Foundation, co-founder of the Green Belt Movement, initiator of the Artists for Climate movement and a CKOI radio columnist.
