Jamie Kirkpatrick is the Program Manager for Blue Green Canada, an alliance of labour unions, environmental and civil society organizations advocating for working people and the environment by promoting solutions to environmental issues that have positive employment and economic impacts.

Last fall Jamie organized Blue Green Canada’s 3rd annual Just Transition and Good Jobs for Alberta conference exploring the impacts of phasing out coal-fired electricity generation, just transition for workers and communities, and the tremendous opportunities renewable power and energy efficiency can offer Albertans.

Prior to joining Blue Green Canada Jamie was the Chief of Staff to Toronto City Councillors Mike Layton and Shelley Carroll. He has a long history of environmental activism running successful environmental campaigns related to public transit, air quality, and protecting green space with the Toronto Environmental Alliance and Sierra Club Canada.
