Mr Drouin is President of Biothermica, a company he founded in 1987. The company is dedicated to the development, financing, construction and operation of landfill gas power plants and coal mine methane projects based. He holds an engineering degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from McGill University. Mr Drouin founded in 2006 Bioenergia SA de CV, a wholly owned subsidiary of Biothermica responsible for the development and implementation of a landfill gas capture project in El Salvador registered under the clean development mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol snd selling the carbon credits to Luxembourg. He implemented the first coal mine methane abatement project in USA at an active underground coal mine, selling the carbon credits on the California-Quebec cap-and-trade market. He founded Gazmont and operated a 25 MW landfill gas power plant and is now implementing a integrated waste management project in Gonaïves (Haïti).
