Fassi Kafyeke has M.Sc. degrees from Université de Liège and the Cranfield Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. He joined Bombardier in 1982 as an Aerodynamics and CFD Engineer. As Manager Advanced Aerodynamics since 1996, he was in charge of detailed aerodynamic design and of development wind tunnel testing for several Bombardier aircraft: CRJ700/900/1000, Challenger 300, Global 5000/6000 and Cseries, now Airbus A220. In 2007, he became Director in charge of technology development. In 2015, he became Senior Director and member of the Bombardier Product Development Engineering Leadership team, responsible for Advanced Aerodynamics, Technology Innovation, and Eco-design. He is now the head of Innovation in Bombardier Inc., Advanced Technology Office. F. Kafyeke is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and has been active on several Industry association boards (GARDN, CRIAQ, CARIC, SA2GE).
