Antoine Laporte has graduated from the Collège de Saint-Laurent in water treatment and from the Université du Québec à Montréal in administration. Since 1981, he works for the City of Repentigny as deputy director of Gestion des infrastructures where he is in charge of water production and wastewater treatment. Previously, from 1978 to 1981, Mr. Laporte was superintendent of water and wastewater treatment plants at the City of Saint-Eustache. He started in the field in 1975 as technician at the Division du contrôle des eaux des Services de protection de l’environnement du Ministère des affaires municipales du Québec. Member of several committees dealing with occupational health and safety, training and regulation in water and wastewater treatments, he has been recipient of several distinctions from AWWA, WEF, Réseau environnement and the Association québécoise des techniques de l’eau. Mr. Laporte also received an honorable mention from the Assemblée générale du Québec in 2013.
