– Potential for Vapor Intrusion – Assessment method review


As part of this conference, WSP will present case studies of characterization and risk management associated with the potential for vapor intrusion. The first case will present a comprehensive study involving the development of more than fifty implants on an industrial site, the realization of a pilot test for the design of a sub slab depressurization system, and the development of said system. The second case will deal with the evaluation of the potential for vapor intrusion on a future residential site located near an enclave of soils and groundwater affected by toluene. The presentation will discuss technical challenges in conducting fieldwork, interpreting the data collected, and considerations for implementing or not implementing mitigation measures.
