PANEL – The Challenge of Financing Climate Action and Green Technology Projects in Municipalities

As a local government, municipalities are at the heart of climate action. However, many municipalities struggle to obtain the funding required to adopt new green technologies and to take climate action. Many climate action funding programs exist, yet municipalities are often unable to fully benefit from them. The experts invited to participate in this panel discussion will aim to identify obstacles that municipalities face in accessing funding. They will also discuss improvements to be made to programs to allow funding available for green technology to be accessible and to be optimally used.
